MEET APRIL YEE: HELPING KIDPOWER ONE MONTH AT A TIME!!

April Yee has been an important part of our KIDPOWER community since 2002 . April is a San Francisco native who went to the University of California at Santa Cruz. In her last year there, she started working in the KIDPOWER Central Office. She was an incredible office coordinator and dedicated instructor and is now a member of our Board of Directors.

 After April moved back to San Francisco to be closer to her family and to fulfill her career goals, she stayed deeply committed to and connected with KIDPOWER.  April works for a corporation called Russell Investment Group that generously encourages its employees to give money by matching employee donations.  April gives to KIDPOWER every month and her monthly donations are matched by her company.  This means that every dollar that April gives is doubled! In addition, April's endorsement has caused the Russell Investment Group to make a generous grant to support services for children in need in the Bay Area.

 Many corporations and businesses have matching programs just like April’s. Others are more likely to give grants to organizations that their employees support.
