Personal Safety and Self Defense for children, teens and adults.

Training for teachers, social workers, health care professionals, etc.

TRAINING FOR PROFESSIONALS

Our Introductory Training of Professionals workshops prepare teachers, counselors, social workers, law enforcement officials, health care workers, martial artists, youth group leaders and other professionals to integrate the KIDPOWER, TEENPOWER, and/or FULLPOWER Everyday Safety Skills with their own programs and activities.

Participants are introduced to our upbeat, effective approach for discussing and practicing personal safety, confidence, and boundary-setting skills. You will get the chance to practice these skills in contexts appropriate to your specific situations.

Organizations and groups can contact their nearest Center or the Central Office to arrange to have this training for their staff or volunteers.

Groups that have arranged Introductory Training of Professionals include:
  • Teachers of teens and children of all ages
  • Group home staff and supervisors
  • Physical therapists
  • Camp and youth group staff and volunteers
  • Social workers and volunteers in domestic violence or homeless shelters

In addition to our workshops and trainings, our organization offers other resources that can be extremely helpful to professionals and community leaders in any location. Please visit our Store for KIDPOWER TEENPOWER FULLPOWER publications or our Resource Center for research and safety articles.
