As a companion book to our Kidpower Starting Strong Safety Lessons, this Teacher’s Guide provides crafts, games, suggestions for using the Kidpower skills to address different issues, take-home lessons for families, and adaptations for children with learning differences. The purpose is to build on the skills and knowledge taught in the Lessons book in order to help children develop strong safety habits that can stay with them throughout their lives.

The activities in this book are designed to be fun because children and adults alike learn better when they are having fun. Instead of dwelling on the bad things that might happen, Kidpower focuses on practicing what we can do to stay safe, which reduces worry and increases competence and confidence.
