Kidpower 30-Skill Challenge Coaching eHandbook
We are currently providing the Kidpower 30-Skill Challenge™ Coaching eHandbook FREE as part of Kidpower’s One Million Safer Kids campaign. Our goal is to make young people safer from bullying, violence, and abuse through greater awareness, action, and skills. These are skills that last a lifetime.
If you have already registered on our One Million Safer Kids Page and the automatic download didn’t work, please use the links below. By using the download links below for the books in English, Spanish, or Arabic, you are agreeing to abide by our Permission to Use Requirements as listed on the last page.
We encourage you to share the skills widely, but rather than forwarding this PDF or link to others, please tell anyone who wants their own free copy of this e-book to register directly with Kidpower on our One Million Safer Kids page. This helps us to keep track of how many people are benefitting from our program.
1) Get the e-book!
Register on One Million Safer Kids and download the PDF. Please ask others to register as well.
2) Read the skills!
Each of the short lessons, pulled from our wide-ranging curriculum into this teaching tool, describes how to teach an important personal safety skill or concept to the children and teens in your life. The clear explanations show how to make practicing and discussing these safety skills easy and fun. Almost all of the skills are less than one page and each one has engaging graphics you can use when discussing and teaching the skills.
3) Share the skills!
Print and use each 1- or 2-page skill to present and teach the skills to kids you work with directly, whether that’s in a classroom, with a youth group or sports team, or at home. And remember that teaching doesn’t have to happen every day or even face-to-face. You can talk on the phone, use chat or especially video chat, send email and also share skills with other caring adults you know in your family, school, work, circle of friends, and neighbors who will teach the skills to kids in their lives.
4) Tell us all about it!
Thousands of kidshave benefitted from their adults teaching skills using this book. We want you and the young people in your life to be successful at practicing these skills and we want to count your efforts – so please let us know how many kids you reach – it all starts with one!
Please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org to let us know about your successes sharing these skills with kids or to get help if you encounter any challenges!
A world with One Million Safer Kids is a better world for all of us, not just the million we help directly. It’s a world with more joyful playgrounds, classrooms, and neighborhoods. It’s a world with safer interactions between children and strangers in parks, farmers markets, and other public places. It’s a world with more relationships strengthened by strong boundary setting skills. It’s a world with less trauma and injury. It’s a world with one million young people using and strengthening advocacy skills to help themselves and others — skills they can develop and use for decades to come not just in school but in relationships, in work, in play, in politics, and in parenting others. The potential ripple effect of One Million Safer Kids is both staggering and achievable.
