Many Ways to Help: Your Gift to Kidpower Goes a Long Way

Kidpower is a community based not for profit organization and we need support from the businesses and individuals who make up our communities-from you.

Any kind of financial support or donation is very much appreciated and put to work helping empower people of all ages and abilities. Any gift, no matter how small, really will make a difference in the lives of our students. Please scroll down to see some of the different ways you can give.

Smiling man and woman, shoulder to shoulder, face camera wearing shirts that say "Hiruko"

"The Kidpower skills can save lives. Knowing and practicing a few basic yet powerful People Safety skills can make a huge difference in the lives of our children and in the level of happiness and safety we feel as parents. In this challenging economic time, Kidpower has to fight hard for available funding. Kidpower relies more than ever before on the support of people like us."

Natalia and Jorge Gabrea Tejada are co-founders and directors of Hiruko, a family wellness center, and the home of our Silicon Valley Office. Their PowFunSun community event has raised over $10,000 for Kidpower!

Here are some of the different ways you can donate:

Cash Donations

Financial contributions are needed most of all. We can accept cash donations in two different ways:

  • By mail - mail a check made out to Kidpower to P.O. Box 1212 Santa Cruz, CA 95061

Donations in Lieu of Gifts

One creative way to help Kidpower is to ask family and friends to make donations to us in lieu of birthday, holiday, or wedding gifts.

Long Term Giving

There are ways for you to make a contribution with a long-term impact -monthly donations, bequests, beneficiary tools such as life insurance or retirement plans naming Kidpower as the beneficiary, or charitable trusts. Please consider a long-term way of helping us.

California attorney Deborah A. Malkin has offered to donate FREE estate planning services to anyone in California who is willing to leave a gift of $5,000 or more to Kidpower in their will.
