The center director Dmitri Nadot has been teaching with Kidpower since January 2007 and started the NYC Center in August of the same year. He has conducted a variety of workshops for such organizations as Children’s Aid Society, Beauty In You women’s organization, Sunrise Mothers Center, NYC Center for Visually Impaired, XXYY Syndrome Conference, schools and universities. Dmitri also has a private practice in personal athletic training and Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) instruction since 2005. Previously he worked as a business analyst and project manager for JP Morgan and Merrill Lynch after graduating from Swarthmore College in 2002 with a degree in Economics focusing on Entrepreneurship.

"Following Kidpower’s innovative method of teaching, Dmitri’s classes were focused on learning by doing through practice, not lecturing. His instruction was energetic, joyful, and captivating. The students practiced a wide variety of People Safety skills and were able to feel for themselves what techniques and approaches worked well for them." - Peter S. Lewis, Ph.D., Head of The Winston School ((973) 379-4114)

"Kidpower was fun and taught me a lot. I think they should keep this up at schools."
