Program Description
In this fun, hands-on program, youth ages 8-12 and their adults will learn and practice skills for preventing and solving problems with people, including:
- Using their awareness
- Projecting an assertive attitude
- Moving away from trouble
- Setting boundaries with friends and adults
- Being persistent in getting help
- Using their voices & bodies to escape from an attack
- Using introductory physical self-defense techniques
This workshop includes the opportunity for youth to practice physical self-defense skills on kick pads with a head-to-toe padded instructor.
The $129 per child registration fee includes a Kidpower Safety Comic followup resources including online access a recording of an online self-defense workshop.
Workshop Fee: $129 per child
Pre-registration is required as there is limited space.
Donations over the amount of workshop fees are tax-deductible. We do not turn anyone away from our workshops for lack of money. Scholarship assistance is available.
