Program Description

Do you or someone you know have a child aged 3-7 in your life? Do you worry about how to help young children stay safe without making them anxious?

Join us and our puppet friends for this lively, fun Familypower Starting Strong Workshop.

Here is what parents and caregivers have to say:

“My four-year-old loved the puppets and the Safety Signals – and we both learned A LOT!”

“I have so much more peace of mind knowing how to teach my young kids what to say and do to stay safe everywhere they go.”

During the workshop, your child and you will learn and practice essential safety skills like:

    • Checking First before changing the plan
    • Protecting Your Feelings from hurtful words
    • Speaking UP clearly and respectfully
    • Getting Help from busy adults
    • Yelling and Running to get away from trouble

It will be important for you to stay WITH your child the whole workshop so you can learn and practice the safety rules and skills together. This will create a common language so you can keep coaching using Kidpower skills in daily life, just as you do with other important skills, such as washing your hands.

As always, scholarships are available if needed.

Your US$45/family registration includes one-on-one email support with questions before & after the workshop and links to resources to help you & your family apply, adapt, and practice the skills. This workshop comes with a free digital copy of our Earliest Teachable Moment guide for parents and caregivers of young children in the Kidpower Online Learning Center.

Workshop Fee: $45/family (includes children and accompanying adults)
Pre-registration is required as there is limited space.
This workshop is for geared toward children ages 3 to 7. Children outside of this age range are welcome to attend.

Donations over the amount of workshop fees are tax-deductible. We do not turn anyone away from our workshops for lack of money. Scholarship assistance is available.

Because practicing together greatly increases the ability to use the skills taught in real life, we strongly recommend that you keep your video and microphone on and practice along with the instructor.

Upon registering, participants will receive a confirmation email with the meeting link.

Instructor will stay up to 30 minutes after the end of the workshop to answer questions and practice skills.
