Practicing using your awareness
Overview of What We Do
The Kidpower Central Office provides curriculum development, training of instructors, quality assurance, and center development support for our services everywhere. Within California, we organize and teach workshops through offices in different communities.
Last year, internationally, Kidpower served an estimated 50,000 children, teens, and adults, including those with special needs, through our People Safety skills workshops, parent education, training of professionals, and educational resources.
About 40% were served through direct workshops and an estimated 60% were served through our educational resources. Of everyone served, over 20,000 were in California, and 30,000 were in different locations around the US and the world.
"Kidpower has an exceptional track record in the field of personal safety and violence prevention. Kidpower gives people the opportunity to take charge of their own safety by assisting in the development of skills to assess, avoid, de-escalate, and escape from violent or abusive situations. Personal safety training that fosters worry or anxiety is counterproductive. Kidpower helps to reduce worry by promoting confidence and personal power."
