Skills for intervening to de-escalate conflict are essential for supporting greater safety and positive connections in families, schools, organizations, workplaces, and communities.

Recently, we provided an online intervention skills workshop to help staff of a large K-12 school prevent and stop bullying – and a de-escalation skills workshop for the staff of a large organization serving adults with disabilities.

Our new article, Safetypowers De-escalation Strategies and Skills – For Leaders Supporting People with Developmental Disabilities. describes some of the practices and kinds of role plays we used in these trainings.
