In-Person Workshops

Given the success of our online workshops, our online and hybrid services are also available along with our in-person services.

The most popular in-person workshops provided in our years of services are listed below.

Professional Development

Professionals learn how to incorporate Kidpower skills and methodology into their standard practices in educational, health, and social service agencies in order to foster positive social safety skill development. Workshops are coordinated by individual schools/agencies, for their own staff at their own site, and are tailored to the specific contexts of the participants, ranging from teachers to shelter staff to occupational therapists to camp counselors to coaches. Professional Development services have been one of our most popular online offerings – learn more at Train with Kidpower.

Parent Workshop

Adults learn skills to keep kids safe with people including strangers, peers, and others at school, online, at home, and out in the world. Your workshop can highlight a topic, such as bullying or online safety, or a specific group, such as early childhood, middle school, or kids with special needs.

Fullpower Adult Safety

Adults practice social safety skills to prevent violence, strengthen communication, manage conflict, de-escalate confrontation, and avoid or leave potentially dangerous situations in the real world and online, on their own or while providing care for others.

Fullpower Workplace Safety

Fullpower Tailored Workplace Safety Workshops give colleagues and co-workers an upbeat, interactive opportunity to practice social safety strategies from boundary setting to advocacy in ways that support safety for employees as well as for clients, customers, and consumers. Whether your interests relate to employees’ personal safety safety getting to and from work, to dealing with angry clients, to upholding boundaries with customers not following the rules of your space, to simply fostering positive communication and a culture of greater safety and respect, we have experience adapting Fullpower skills and strategies for these situations and more.

Comments from Workshop Organizers

By organizing the Teenpower class, we were able to make this experience happen not only for our daughter but also for so many of her friends. In addition to getting individual skills, they learned skills and language for setting up safety plans with each other when they go out together.

A Relieved Parent

Private Workshop Organizer

We first worked with Kidpower after a couple of concerning incidents that left our teachers, aides, and family service workers concerned for their own safety. The Fullpower adult program helped our staff learn how to protect themselves from possible danger and how to de-escalate confrontations.

Cynthia Yao

Family Services Manager, Institute for Human and Social Development

We are committed to providing a safe and healthy workplace, but our employees sometimes worry about their safety arriving early or staying late. By organizing a Fullpower class for our employees, we were able to take positive action to address their concerns.
