Program Description

In this live interactive program for young people together with their adults, families practice age-appropriate skills young people can use right away to prevent, avoid, or deal with bullying.

Together, you’ll practice ways to:

  • Act aware, calm, and confident so people will listen to you more and bother you less
  • Be safe with words to protect your feelings & use your words more safely, too!
  • Spot trouble early – leave in a powerful, positive way to get distance and protect feelings and bodies
  • Set clear respectful boundaries so people know what you want and what you do NOT want
  • Speak up for positive inclusion
  • Get help from adults when you have a safety problem including understanding when to interrupt – and how to persist

Your $45 USD registration per screen includes the live workshop and one-on-one email support to answer questions. In addition, a followup message after the workshop to all registrants will provide access to relevant resources, including a 100% discount code for our Skills to Face Bullying With Confidence online course.

Workshop Fee: $45/screen (includes children and accompanying adults)
Pre-registration is required as there is limited space.
This workshop is geared toward families with kids ages 7-12. Children outside of this age range are welcome to attend and the content may not be as relevant for them.

Donations over the amount of workshop fees are tax-deductible. We do not turn anyone away from our workshops for lack of money. Scholarship assistance is available.

Because practicing together greatly increases the ability to use the skills taught in real life, we strongly recommend that you keep your video and microphone on and practice along with the instructor. This active safety skills workshop is for adults to take WITH their children, not for kids to take alone. Please make sure that you and/or another adult family member will be there actively discussing the safety rules and practicing the skills being taught in the workshop together with your child (or children).

Upon registering, participants will receive a confirmation email with the meeting link.
