Why I joined the board, and why Kidpower needs to be everywhere

As a dad, I saw the real power of Kidpower firsthand when a classmate tried to cross a major physical boundary with my 5 year old daughter when she was in Kindergarten. Instead of freezing or feeling intimidated, she didn’t hesitate; she confidently shut it down with a firm “NO,” and cited the safety rules she had learned in her first Kidpower workshop just a few weeks earlier:

Touch is not a secret.
Games are not a secret.
Presents are not a secret.

Turning what could have been a traumatic moment into a display of pure confidence showed me just how crucial it is for young kids to have practical boundary tools, proving that early empowerment truly helps children protect themselves without fear.

To this day, Kidpower continues to be part of my family with our preteen and teen kids.

I passionately believe everybody, including kids, adults, seniors, LGBTQIA+ and people with disabilities should have these skills.

Thank you. I really appreciate your support.
