In our Kidpower community, we stand for SAFETY! No matter who you are, where you live, what you believe, or how you look – if you are a human being, then you are likely to need skills to prevent and solve problems with people.
We are committed to providing people from very different backgrounds, cultures, political beliefs, religions, identities, and walks of life with skills and knowledge that promote safety, respect, confidence, and kindness for everyone.
Our Prejudice and Discrimination page provides access to resources and workshops that help people to stay emotionally and physically safe when they are faced with harmful prejudice because of differences.
Kidpower’s Intervention Tools
Many people who share Kidpower’s vision of creating cultures of safety, respect, and kindness for everyone, everywhere, ask:
What can I do when young people in my care or other adults say or do things that are against these values?
Kidpower’s Intervention Tools provide guidance for how to take action in ways that are effective, powerful, and respectful.
Pridepower Safety Skills Online Course
Pridepower is a free online course made by and for people who face greater risks of discrimination because of their sexual orientation, gender identity, or gender expression – and their allies. These engaging and powerful video lessons are useful for anyone who has differences and faces communication problems with others because of lack of understanding, respect, or empathy.
Organize a Workshop
We can help you organize a live online workshop tailored for the schedule and specific needs of your family and friends, neighborhood, school, organization, workplace, or community. Each program provides opportunities for participants to be successful in practicing the skills taught in the workshop, using examples that are relevant to their lives.
Our next public workshop is Familypower: Online Safety Skills for ages 9-14 side-by-side with their adults on Sunday, June 22, 10-11am PT.
Please Donate!
Your donation in any amount will support our work in creating and providing extensive educational resources and programs that prepare people to take charge of their own safety and wellbeing – and to protect vulnerable children, teens, and adults in their care.
