This episode of Kidpower Shorts introduces the skill of setting clear, respectful boundaries. Setting clear boundaries can help keep you be safe, strengthen your relationships, and reduce conflict. Good boundary setting skills include thinking and speaking clearly about what is bothering you, speaking calmly and respectfully, and using boundary bridges to communicate understanding and compassion. Also, sometimes you might want to get space to calm down before setting boundaries — the skill of Leaving with Kindness can help you move away without escalating the situation.

Avery is a Kidpower native and is currently studying Zoology at the University of Glasgow. He is glad to be supporting Kidpower by producing the Kidpower Shorts, which he hopes will be accessible and helpful to people of all ages around the world!
