Watsonville Police Department LogoThe Watsonville, CA Police Department is a longtime partner with Kidpower in the local community and now also an International Child Protection Month Partner!

The Watsonville Police Assistance Fund has recently made a generous grant to fund local Kidpower personal safety workshops, with a call to local businesses to match or exceed their gift. Additionally, Watsonville PD is sending out bilingual Kidpower child protection and safety tips in English and Spanish through social media and newsletters

Chief Manny Solano

I have been an advisor to Kidpower for over 20 years and strongly recommend their approach of providing actual practice of safety skills in ways that are fun and empowering rather than scary. These skills can help protect children from most violence including kidnapping, abuse, and bullying. Learning Kidpower brings greater confidence to young people and greater peace of mind to the adults who love them.” — Watsonville Police Chief Manny Solano
