In collaboration with the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) of Connecticut, we are thrilled to invite you to join us for a free interactive Safetypowers workshop for adults on Boundary-Setting and Advocacy Skills.

NAMI is the nation’s largest grassroots mental health organization dedicated to building better lives for the millions of Americans affected by mental illness, and much of their powerful work is done by dedicated community members in their State Organizations such as NAMI Connecticut.

This free online workshop will be presented twice on Monday, February 9 at 12-1pm EST/9-10am PT and again at 7-8pm EST/4-5pm PT. Each session will be followed by a 30 minute Q&A.

With lead Safetypowers trainers from Kidpower International, we’ll practice ways to:

•    Set clear, respectful boundaries
•    Advocate for yourself and others
•    Deal with negative reactions – confidently!
•    Manage emotional triggers to stay effective
•    Stay emotionally safe in the face of hurtful or disrespectful behavior

This program is appropriate for family members, mental health practitioners, caregivers, and adults with lived experience in dealing with mental health issues.

This workshop is made possible thanks to funding awarded to
Kidpower International by the Honda USA Foundation.
