Choosing to walk in another person’s shoes to understand their perspective can prevent and solve a great many conflicts.

This is why I am excited to invite you to a workshop with our talented conflict resolution trainer Maryse Postlewaite: Walk in Another’s Shoes -Conflict Resolution Workshop on Perspective March 26 from 5-6 PM Pacific. She will stay 30 minutes after for Q and A.

This is a special session that is open to the public free of charge as a way to introduce you to Maryse’s Conflict Resolution Fundamentals course.

If conflict resolution was only about communication skills, many of us would do well in managing our problems with others. However, there’s more to it than that.

In this workshop, Maryse will lead practical exercises to help us to experience perspective shifts that can broaden our point of view and discover new ways of thinking.

These are skills that can help us in our everyday lives. Has someone ever become irritated or even angry with you because they did not see your point of view? Have you become upset with them? I sure have! For 52 years, as a short person living with a tall husband, I have gotten into countless arguments about whether something on the shelf is “too high” or “too low.”

Understanding each other’s perspectives instead of arguing about them can help us to find win-win solutions for problems both small – and large.

Please let us know if you have any questions about this workshop – or if there are any other ways Kidpower can be of help to you.
