Adviatech

Thank you, Adviatech!

We at Kidpower were delighted to receive a surprise generous contribution from Adviatech, an innovative legal marketing company.

Unless the reason for a donation is clear, we always ask donors what inspired their gift and were moved by the following unusual story from one of the company’s officers, who has given us permission to share it publicly.

“We recently were involved in litigation with a well established law firm. One of the partners with that firm thought the solution to our disagreement was to make outrageous claims against us and drag us through their local court. It was apparent from day one that his strategy was to simply bully us out of our position.

We stood up to this firm as a defendant in their local court, and we became the plaintiff by opening a case against them in our state. We recently prevailed in both cases.

All of Adviatech’s partners agreed that we should donate a portion of our award to an anti bullying non-profit … essentially taking money out of the hands of a bully and putting it into bullying prevention.

After doing some research, we thought that Kidpower helped the most diverse group of kids and decided to give our donation to you.”

While of course it is unfortunate that the people at Adviatech had to go through such an upsetting experience, we are glad that they were able to stand their ground.

What an honor to be chosen for this gift in recognition of our work!

Donations like this help to support our work in keeping kids safe from bullying, violence, and abuse through greater awareness, action, and skills – and to create cultures of respect and safety where bullying behavior is much less likely to grow.
