Positive Coaching Alliance (PCA) is a national non-profit developing “Better Athletes, Better People” by working to provide all youth and high school athletes a positive, character-building youth sports experience.
PCA is proud to enhance its ongoing partnership with Kidpower by becoming a founding partner for International Child Protection Month, by continuing to share the co-produced videos, such as “Protecting Youth Athletes from Sexual Abuse” and other child protection materials to educate coaches, parents and youth sports organization leaders about the actions they can take to increase the safety and well-being of their athletes.
In Colorado, PCA and Kidpower are collaborating in the development and presentation of tailored workshops about child abuse prevention for hundreds of high school and middle school coaches and parents in the Adams 12 Five Star Schools in the Denver area.
In partnership with nearly 2,000 schools and youth sports organizations nationwide, PCA has conducted more than 13,000 live group workshops for leaders, coaches, parents and athletes and impacted more than 6 million youth. As a Founding Partner of International Child Protection Month, PCA will highlight the co-produced materials, and Kidpower workshops and resources, such as the Put Safety First Commitment and Protection Promise in e-newsletters and websites reaching about 100,000 viewers, primarily adults, who in turn impact nearly 1 million youth.
